Hi guys,

I'm new rover owner and have a 95 DiscoI. I want buy a brush bar for that and anyone can tell me is there any different between the 95's bar and 96's bar? I think the DI is different with DII, but any different with 95's and 96's, or 94's?

I find some place or people do have the bars for "Discovery series I". Is that fit my 95 DI?

Thanks.

i have a used one for sale off my 95 d1.
it needs some cosmetic work due to rust.
if you want functionality, then mine is good as is, b/c it works fine.
but if you want it just for looks, then it will need some sanding and painting.
$300 obo

Are you serious? A rusty brushbar for $300? Wow... one born every minute.

Hao, look at some of the vendors listed in the resources section and take your pick - they all have them. I bought a front brushbar and rear taillight guard package for my wife's 95 DI from Atlantic British for around $500. I just checked their website and they have their version of the LR brushbar, brand new for a little over $400.

I'm ordering another package for my 94 this week... I'll be lucky if I can get $3.00 for my old rusty LR brushbar...

Good news for you guys. I searched almost all the google and found a site for the brush bar, $299.95! Believe it?

Description:

A stylish bar with integral sump guard and spoiler protection.
Constructed from 1 1 /2" tube and nylon coated.
Features removable lamp guards and tabs for auxiliary light mounting.
No cutting of the front spoiler is necessary.

Fits Discovery Series I 1994-99.

web site: http://www.dap-inc.com

The only thing I'm not sure is "1 1 /2" tube ". Is that as same as the genuine part?

Raf:
Give me couple of days to check the shipping. I'm in Los Angeles area and the shipping cost may kill me. :-)

Hao,

Yup, DAP is pretty good, my only gripe with them is they have a limited selection. The brushbar you saw isn't original LR but if you plan to use it to push shopping carriages and not tree branches, then who cares. Seems like a good deal...

Good luck

PS... you could have saved yourself some Google time by looking under Vendors in the Resources section, DAP is in there. We should patronize the vendors who support DWeb. Just my .02

Hao, brush bars should be interchangeable between any Discovery, '94-early '99 (Series I). You should be able to find one inexpensively, used. Try looking through the Discoweb for sale posts!
