Hello from the Great White North...
The other day the ABS light came on and stayed on. The next day it came on then turned off after several stops. Last night my Check Engine light came on and stayed on... is there anything I can do before taking it to the shop?

Dude,I'm right there with you. Mine is an 00 DII and for the past 4 weeks my check engine light comes on and stays on for a day or so then goes off for several days then comes back on for several days then goes back off for several days. It really starting to affect my mood. As soon as I get ready to take it in to get a reading done on it the light goes off. I'm 2 hours away from the nearest Land Rover mechanic. I read somewhere that I might be able to take it down to my local AutoZone store - that they have a reader that can tell me why it's coming on. How reliable of a diagnosis would this be?
