I've seen new Jeep comercials with Lara Croft driving her new Rubicon. Funny, just the other day at Target, I picked up a 1:64 scale Tomb Raider Defender made by Racing Champions. It's now hanging out with my Matchbox Disco and Hotwheels Range Rover Classic. |

actually i think they are an exact replacement for the D-90 lights...;) you are right zach...i have never owned a 90, but i have never owned a porsche either and that does not keep me from wanting one. and i am sure a porsche is not a effortless job of ownership either. just because i have not owned one does not mean either chris or myself are lacking for wanting one. if you had one and it did not work out for you, so be it, but don't judge me or my desires for one. there are some people that want pontiac aztecs and i don't understand that, but good luck to 'em. for some people, discos are not all they are cracked up to be...but you have one, right? |

Mike I have driven quite a few Porsches in my days (which are now) and they are loud and fast, which I like, but I HATE the clutch with a passion! And I have always liked the D-90. I remeber back in 94 when my dad was looking at buying a discovery I told him he should get the convertable one. So I knew nothing I just liked it. I have always liked it better then the disco. |

hey chris... i have a buddy selling bmws and coopers, so we take lunch from time to time and amp around. pretty fun, but i want to get behind one of ferd's machines one of these days...;) i have a buddy that has a stable of machines he has modified and raced to various degrees. maybe i will buy one of his retired machines one day. but right now i have a 70 chevelle ss 396 and rover in the garage, so i really don't need too many more cars. but then again i don't need 5 mountain bikes and two road bikes either...! |

i was there overnight on my way for some grand canyon hiking...i actully thought someone had come into the room and was shaking the bed to wake me up. and wake me up it did. ;) i looked out the 15 floor window of the riverside hotel we were in to see water sloshing out of the pool...looked UPSTREAM to the dam on the colorado river...after the third aftershock i was ready to go sleep in the car! upstream. i bet there is a buttload of stuff to do around there...but i also see how it could be really different. we may make that trip again this fall, if we do, i'll drop you a line. |

Phillip, if you dislike your D90 you should sell it and buy a Disco (if that is what you want) instead of constantly whining about it. Between this list and the D90 BBS, it gets old man, really. I am willing to bet you can find someone who will even trade you straight across or better yet, you might even make some accessory money out of the deal. For the record, I fucking love owning my D90, and admire it every day. When that feeling goes away, I'll sell it. So far it been nearly 8 years and counting... ~Art Vigil

What cracks me up is that Chuck says "gee, factory lockers, 4to1 low, wonder why she would drive it.... hmmm....." as if the general public would understand a word he wrote. I just think it's wrong that they took a British character and put her in an American Jeep. |

It might be believable if she was in a tricked out H1, a bit insulting, but believable, but a J**p?! What a joke. Chuck, you're probably right. I'm sure the factory lockers and special gearing is what made the decision for Laura Croft - less she'd have to modify since she's on such a tight budget. ~Art Vigil

Phillip, so long as they were made before 1999, as in the last DI. I cant beleive she's driving a coil sprung jeep with dual electric lockers, solid front and rear axles and a good 4 liter six. What was she thinking! For just a few thousand more she could have gotten a nice Freelander. Maybe one of those gay 2 door convertible versions. That would have been way cool. |

So I was at lollapalooza today and they had the Jeep on display. I went through and looked at it. The interor was pretty well done, I liked it. On thing bad was the lights on the skid plate they were all cracked. Other then the fact that they armor-alled the tread of the tire I thought it looked good for a jeep. She should still drive a rover, but i guess it is worthy. Except the Baja Claw tires! |

Yeah Chris and I think I heard they are making a special T3 edition Tundra. This might possibly be the only thing dumber than the Tomb Raider edition Jeep (and even if you like the Jeep in the movie the shots of the proposed production one I have seen look nothing like it) |

why would they make some special tundra, it was just a getaway car. Then again there is a Jeep that the terminator crushes and a hummer. I think the funnest part of the jeep they had was that they had the speedo at about 47mph and the revs at 2500 rpm, but it was stoped. The swiches were fun to play with. And the diamond plated trunk was cool. |
