One of my front foglights is out, do I have to go to the dealer for replacement since it is sealed? Pretty soon I wont have to worry when the ARB arrives, but would like to replace the light. Thanks, Matt |

Matt, I seem to recall in the Discoweb archive someone was able to open up the unit and replace the bulb with no ill affect. Cut the seal between the glass and the unit itself. Might be worth a quick try. Trevor |

No need to cut it. Take off the 2 - 1/2" bolts on top of the housing to the fog lamps (right below the bumper). Then take off the 2 phillips screws from the bottom on the light that attach to the lower portion of the air dam. This will release the entire fog light unit. Unplug the unit from behind the main lights and the unit will come right out. From there just use a Torex driver to take off the 2 side bolts from the light housing and then you can remove the back plate to the light. The bulb is held in place with a holder like the headlights are (spring type). I bought a replacement light from Autozone for $1.58 and I later upgraded to a 100W bulb after going though my grounds with no ill effects.\ Don 96SE7 |
