Emilio it sounds like the switch contacts are dirty. most auto parts stores will carry an electrical contact cleaner in areosol form. remove the seat switch carefully with a small flat screwdriver and unplug it. the plastic switchs will pop off. just spray the cleaner in to the openings. do not try to open the switch itself, there are lots of pieces that will go everywhere. work the switch in every direction and drain the fluid. it may take a few tries. but I think that will take care of the problem.

Also is it a DII as the DII have a problem with the track binding. When the track binds the seat won't move. the dealer will put shims in it for you if this is the problem

I wanted to see how far forward the passnger seat would go and how far forward it would tilt. Well, the result is that it won't tilt back. It moves in all other directions but now the copilot must sit leaning forward.

I'll try cleaning the switch ... but what if that doesn't work ?

You may need to pull the switch all the way out and also remove the control buttons and the mounting plate. I had to take mine down this far to get enough contact cleaner in there to do the job.

Afterwards, relube because the contact cleaner strips all grease away and the switch will bind.

I disassembled the passenger seat switch ( I have pics to prove it) ... cleaned it and put it back together ... and the seat tilt now works again but the seat bottom fwd/bk doesn't. My guess is that the bad contact "rocker" that was at the tilt sw is now at the fwd/bk switch. In reassembling I may/must have swapped them.
If I take the buttons off and move the four switches using a pair of pliers they work but it take more force with the pliers than the button is applying. Maybe I need a spacer inside the button to move the lever farther forward.
I need to do the same cleaning with my driverside seat switch.
Spraying contact cleaner helps some but since these are rocker contacts and not slide contacts, there's nothing to wipe the contacts. Your just relying on the spray disolving whatever is in there. Some of the contacts had small dark spots/pits on them that I had to scrap to get them clean ... so not all dirt will be affected by the spray.
The switch has 16 ball bearings, 8 springs, and 8 rocker contacts all of which are set free when you open the switch. A steady hand and max patience are a must for reassembly.
