Ok after I was told to check the water pump for this squek, I did and it was not the culprit. I think it might be suspension related problem. About 50-75% of the time when I am stopped and begin to start again, I get a loud squek coming from the front driver side of the truck, somwhere around the wheel. It never happens above 15 mph and yesterday I was in traffic coasting about 10 mph and the squek was nonstop, as soon as I accelerated above that speed it went away until I stopped and began to start driving again. Any help is appreciated. The truck is a 96 D1 with about 560000 on the clock. Thanks again.

Hi Matt,
does applying the brake a little have any effect on the noise ?`
Perhaps it's got something to do with the brake pads (stone trapped ?)
Is the wear on the brake pads even - or does one of the caliper pistons bind.
Maybe the mudshield has been pushed against the brake disc.

Could also be a Ujoint, front wheel bearings, half-shaft, or CV joint. Also, turn the wheel slightly to see if it has any effect. Try putting it in neutral while it is making the noise. Next, try shutting off the engine (don't try this in traffic). Try jacking up the left front wheel and wiggle to see if there is any play. Try removing the front driveshaft to see if the noise goes away. Let us know how this progresses!
