get new bulb sockets and install into your turn signals. that's what aedofab did with mine for the install. if you don't do something along those lines, you won't be legal as you need orange lights on the front corners visible from the front and side. tom |

Wouldn't the side marker lights under the mirrors do the trick for that law? Also, isn't that state by state? |

With all the people that run after market bumpers has anyone ever had an issue with removing those lights? Also, if you cut the wires will your turn signals blink faster since the system will think that you have a bulb out? If so how do you get around this? connect the wires together? |

i sure hope not. in live in PA. i am not going to have the side maker lights on my rear bumper after next week. i really don't think the yocals around here care much. them again they mentioned something about the brushgards having the mesh in front of the lights. best bet is to call your local inspection garage and see what they say. |

Ya, I had to pull my headlight covers off of my factory brush guard in order to get my truck inspected here in VA. Still would like to know about some other ideas for the lights though cause I'm going to be replacing my front bumper as well.. Couldn't they just be removed from the plastic bumper and re-attached in the fender right above where they are sitting now? |

to avoid the fast blinker you will have to install a relay. really not a big deal. that is what i will be doing with my new rear bumper. i will no longer have the rear tail lights in the bumper. and i will also lose the side markers. i am on good terms with a number of local garages that should not give me a hard time. and there are places nearby that don't care of you take your cats off either. good ol boys for sure. and as long as the holes in your truck are not big enough to fit your fist through you are OK as well. gotta love 'em. i am sure that if you are that set on putting the side markers in you could. nothing a local welder/fabricator could not do rather quickly. |

It looks like that i could drill a hole into the side of the front turn signal lense and file two notches so that the oem bulb will fit, facing the side of the vehicle and still retain it's water resistant o ring. Ill let you know if it works out ok. |
