Dear list,

My Disco (1996Tdi) has developed an oil leak in the vacuum pump area on the right side of the engine block. It looks like the oil is seeping out between the two halves of the pump. It looks like I can split the pump by unscrewing some screws but I feel safer if someone from this list could give me a clue on what I will find whilst doing so. Loose small parts that will spread randomly all over my garagefloor? Is there a seal between these halves or could I maybe use some blue silicone or the like? Anyone that have experianced this before?

Thanks,

Peter
