Are RTE springs "handed"? or are they matched? Is there a top and bottom? And are rear springs longer than the fronts or vice versa?? Thanks |

No tops, no bottoms, not handed. There are different rates and free lengths front and back though. Ron Ward |

Thanks Ron but I still have one more question. I just recently got a set of the RTE 2" springs. The front springs are the 189lbs and the rear 285-325 lbs. Which ones, front or rear, are longer?? I am getting ready to install them but I forgot which ones are front and which ones are rear. Thanks |

The fronts are longer, but the rears have a thicker guage wire. |

John has them color coded. Since you have the 2 in. springs, there will be 2 pieces of colored tape depending in the spring rate(3 in. springs have 3 pieces). Maybe John could chime in with the color codes for all of the spring rates... |

Garrett, Have you thought about contacting JBS @ RTE? I'm sure he can answer all of your questions on the RTE springs. Alternatively, you ask the person from whom you bought the springs. I'm sure he'll be happy to hear from you. |

Does John from RTE use green tape to designate the rear springs when he sends them or the front springs?? I noticed green pieces of tape on 2 of the springs. Anyone have experience with this?? Thanks |

I couldn't get a hold of John yet and I am leaving soon(won't have a computer to check back here). Planning on putting the springs on later tonight if I can figure out which ones are front and rear. Anyone else know or have experience here?? Info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks |

As they said, the wire on the rears is considerably thicker for the rears. They will be much heavier too... -P |

If it's for a DII, the front ones are shorter. I think I recall my HD RTE 2" springs had two pieces of red tape on one, and I don't recall the other, but on a DII you will find the front springs are about an inch shorter than the rear, as I questioned this when I got mine. Alternately, you could look at the stock ones and see which is longer or shorter in front and rear, and replicate with the new ones. Should be easy enough. |

Nevermind guys.......John from RTE just emailed me back so I have all the answers I need!! Thanks for all of the help!! Later |
