I just finished replacing a bad brake light bulb on my 96 Disco. When the driving lights are off, the brake lights come on when you depress the brake pedal. Now for the problem. When I turn the driving lights on, the brake lights light up (ie it looks like I am driving around pressing the brake the entire time) I need help to remedy this problem. This very dangerous driving around at night since people won't know when I am braking. Thanks Jeremy |

Do a keyword search for "brake light switch." You'll find several discussions about bad brake light switches at the brake pedal. In some instances it's kept the vehicle locked in park! This sounds like it may be the cause of your problem. |

Are all three on? There are also rear fog lights on a DI that look like brake lights. The switch is on the left of the instrument binnacle. You probably already know this, but worth a shot, Brian |

I'm an idiot! I bought the wrong bulb. I bought a single wattage bulb instead of the two wattage bulb. For whatever reason, this turned all the brake lights on as if I were riding my brakes. |
