I had a series truck that had a rubber boot that fit over the distributor cap. Anyone seen those for sale for Discos?
Also, I saw an Air Breather kit for sale at Gulf Coast Rovers. Advantages of this? I was thinking about just extending all the breather tubes up if and when I fit a snorkel.
Thanks,
Enoch

Enoch,

The boot over the dist is a stock part. I don't know the p/n, but you should be able to get it from Nathan or anyone.

I made my own breather tube extensions with some industrial parts that are a bit nicer than the GCR stuff, but since I don't have a snorkel, I ran the master breather (3/8") into my air box.

Also have done the same thing on a few friends trucks - results have been good in water (so far - knock on wood! :) )

You can make one out of a surgical glove and some good tape and put dielectic grease around the lip of it and on the spark plug boots. . If no one else makes one, a well made distributor cover for Disco and Rangie would be a great thing for somebody to design and market for this group alone. Would neoprene work???

I would also like to find one of the rubber coil covers.

Enoch

The air breather thing is nice, however for about $10 you could make one out of black pvc and some extra hose.
