Has anyone tried lately to email the company that makes the "auto-dimming mirror" for the Discovery series 1. I tried emailing them about 3 or 4 days ago and still havent heard anything? I gave them the type of car, year, location, and what was wrong with it. Just wondering if they take a few days or what. Thanks

Chris,
I met you at the fall rally in Osceola, I have the yellow XD and go to Florida State. I'm not sure but I'm assuming that your auto dimming mirror has either cracked or just looks like a bubble or ink is floating around inside. If that is the problem or something else someone here may know of somewhere else to get one, not sure though? I know that Bruce (the vice prez. of the Florida Land Rover Club) has had the same problem, he might be able to help you. www.floridalandroverclub.com just post a message there and I'm sure he will help if he can. I recently had the same problem with my mirror but I have a warranty so the dealership just took care of it. Good luck let me know if I can help anymore.
Brett

The only cost is what it costs you to ship yours back to them. You can even use their box...

Just got home and found my replacement mirror waiting for me. Switching them out was no problem. All the company, Donelly, requests is that I send them back my broken mirror.

Chris

Do you have a phone number for the place you got your mirror from, the link that was provided in the thread from Reed no longer works.

Thanks

MAGNA DONNELLY Corp.
3575 128th Ave.
Holland, MI 49424

616-786-7171 www.magnadon.com

I spoke to and exchanged emails with Lisa McKellips.

just email her and tell them your seal is broken in your mirror. Give them your address and email address and they should get back to you in a few days. Your mirror should get there in a week or 2.

I;m heading up to Tallahassee next weekend to visit a few friends. Are you up there this summer? Lemme know.
Good luck with the mirror.

Now Larry, what could you possibly do to break a rear view mirror???!!! Did you go out wheeling with Dean again? Let me guess, flood damage?

Glenn

The mirror just took a leak, fortunatly the stuff didn't get on anything except the rubber cover on the CDL, no big mess. However two weeks ago the winshield got hit by a rock and cracked it, so instead of paying $300+ to replace the mirror, I get to replace the windshield instead. Does anyone know where the get a windshield for free?

I got the mirror in the mail on thursday, talk about fast.

Magna Donnelly is #1 in my book for customer service.
