Does anyone know who makes a good rear bumper for a Disco Series II besides Safari Gard ?
Thanks,
Brian

Greg Davis, but I don't think he sells them (Greg?).

Aedofab, but you have to like the aggressive styling over the "keep it like stock" approach. I have some pics at home that I took at the shop of a DII rear bumper. I'll post them tomorrow.

Brian, I do sell them. I just hope you're not in too big of a hurry.

Look in my gallery, and e-mail me if you are interested.

Thanks Ron.

Brian,

Same for Aedofab. It depends on what he is working on as to how quick he will turn one out.

Sorry Tom. I was thanking you and didn't look at your post. My apologies.

Thanks for the help. I see that Trek outfitters make a rear bumper for the DII, has anyone had experience with them ?
Thanks,
Brian

Tom, you referred Brian to me because of the rear bumper. I thanked "Ron" for the referral, but actually meant you.

Brian,

I got a Trek bumper for my D2 last January and have since ditched it for a Greg Davis bumper. The Trek bumper is great if you are into retaining the rear end look of your Rover and you don't have to cut anything. It will offer you some protection while offroading but you lose a tad on departure angle. Also, you can't attach recovery points to it since it utilizes the 2 stock bumper mounting locations.

Back when I ordered Safarigards bumper they were about the only game in town other than Trek, but I wanted max departure so went with Safarigard, ordered around Feb 27 still waiting for it! They charged my card first week of March. They said it shipped 2 weeks ago....about at end of nice.

Got E-mail from Safarigard today, bumper will be delivered tomorrow and because of lenth of time they are knocking off shipping. I hope the wait is worth it and I can get it installed before leaving Friday for Uwharrie.

Darryl,
I like the Safari Gard bumper but their price is $1,150.00 + shipping which I can't justify for a rear bumper. The Trek bumper was $1000.00 reduced to $800.00 but they want $200.00 for shipping which is high because I paid $135.00 to ship my ARB bull bar which is heavier.
Thanks,
Brian

Brian, from what I hear the Trek bumper isn't worth it and if you go with the $G bumper get the skid plate with it. The skid plate helps hold the bumper in place. Without the plate the bumper can rotate. Or so I hear.
