I am wondering what may happen if I break a half shaft on a D2 in the middle of nowhere. I know that with full floating I could just lock CDL and have 2 wheel drive. With semi I just dont get it. Is it one of those things where I could amble on with CDL locked and than stop every X number of yards to make sure the wheel is still on? Or is it dependent on where the break is? I have a little family expedition down Lockhart Basin in Moab next weekend and the trail is remote. I know that I need to put in HD halfshafts, but I doubt that is going to happen this week. My current set up is CDL with TT in the rear so the rear shafts are somewhat vulnerable. Thanks! Curtis |
