"Safety" Thermostat?

Author Message   Norm Posted on Sunday, April 21, 2002 - 12:46 pm:    A while back I read somewhere on this board that there are aftermarket thermostats available with a built-in "safety" designed to open up all the way during overheating -- rather than stick closed and poach the engine like the factory units. Amybody know what brand these are and where they can be bought? Thanks, Norm
