Hey guys, I just got a new cd player installed in my Disco1, but the factory subs in the back won't work with it, its due to the factory am being crap... Anything I can do to get them to work.... I need base!!! Chris |

Chris, there's no reason the factory subs should not work with an aftermarket receiver. Just bypass the factory amp and wire everything just like any other stereo. |

How is your new CD player wired in to the other speakers? If you wired them from the speaker level outputs of your new head unit directly to the speakers, then the subs are out of the loop. If you want to duplicate the factory setup, then you'll have to use the line level outputs of the CD player and tie them into where the original radio was connected to the factory amp. You'll have to use a couple of ground isolators to prevent ground loop noise, but it can be done. Let me know if you need further info. David |
