I have a 98 disco lse. Right now, my truck is not doing into fourth gear at all. It isnt slippin i dont think, but on the highway, it is in 3rd gear and revving out really high. And when you first get in the car, it likes to stay in first gear for a while ( until ike 4000 rpms) until it shifts. Kind of like it is in a tow/haul mode? Makes no difference if you put car in 3 instead of D. All other gears work. Very worried. Please help. |

Hi Michael, I had the same problem with mine some time back and it turned out to be nothing at all. I took it to an autobox specialist and it turned out to be bloked pressure valves in the box. The friction plates needed a bit of adjustment too and it has been running fine ever since. All for less than $ 100. regards, Luc |
