Jess:
I have a one foot piece of BMF chain with a 5 1/2" long 1/2" diameter grade five bolt running through the hole where the panhard rod would go were my truck RHD. I got the chain at Tractor Supply its safe working load is somewhere around 6,600 pounds-seems good enough for me, just don't get a running start at it!

Looks kinda cool, in spite of some folks being critical of it. Also, when you need it, everybody knows where it is and can easily hook onto it. Mine has been needed several times and I just could not see myself paying $50 for a Jate ring that does the same thing and doesn't look nearly as cool.

Peace,
Paul

Jess,
You can get JATE Rings that will fit across the frame and are attached to the lower bumper mount bolt. Jate rings are U-shaped, like a wide rectangular shackle. All you have to do is undo the existing bolt and replace it with a longer grade 5 or grade 8 bolt (you'll need ones that are 5-1/2" long).
You can get JATE rings from Rovers North, I got mine from Discount Rovers. JATE Rings are a great recovery point solution if you don't want to get an aftermarket bumper like an ARB.
Good Luck,
Dave
