Over the last couple weeks this has gotten progressively worse. This morning I got in and rolled the back windows down and when I got to work they would not roll up. What could be the problem? This happens with both the front and back windows, most of the time they will not roll down then I drive it a couple minutes and try again and they work. I'm confused, any help would be appreciate.

Hey Greg, there is a write-up on the window ECU in the 'tech' section. This is a pretty common problem. My rear windows only work about 0.5% of the time.

You need to clean the contacts. When mine did this, I carefully pryed them apart; noted how they were put together-the little brass contacts had dirt/mange on them. Cleaned 'em, reassebbled, and they're working perfect since.
Do ALL the switches at the console panel. cheers- doug

You need to clean the contacts.

Where can I find these contacts?

You have to excuse my idiot level when it comes to this. ;)

Thanks again!

If it is not any fuse(s), next items are dirty switches. To clean contacts, you have to remove all the switches from the control panel.

To do that you have to lever the panel away from the cubby box/console. I assume you get that far.
Detach the connectors, mark them if you like.

Take all sw out, to the kitchen/work table. Lay out a large towel. Good working light helpful. Small screwdriver-flatblade-pry the 'rocking part' out. It is hinged in the middle axis.CAREFULLY widen the housing just enough for the axis pins-part of the rocking sw-to be free of the housing. Slowly withdraw it-best if the sw contacts face downward-you will try to leave the contacts in their installed position for the moment. Make notes of how they lie in there.

Then clean all the metal-to-metal points, well.
Reassemble. Do the others. Whole process:1/2 to 1 hour. Easy after opening the first one.

Let us know how it went. cheers-doug

My bet is on the window ECU needing repair... I'd check that out before tearing the window switches to pieces. Let us know what you find out!
