Has anyone had the hook/clip that holds the shade for your sunroof break. This is the thingy that holds the shade farward in the "closed" position. Any ideas how to replace? Is this a part or must one replace the entire shade. |

Hi Brian I think this has been discussed at length before. I managed to glue mine with epoxy and so far has held for 6 months. You will find LR will not sell just this part and will require the whole frame and both blinds. Someone before mentioned a clip available from home depot, look through the archives Pete S |

I cut a small piece of aluminum to fit the topside (out of view), then glued the thing back on with a strong structural epoxy. It took all of fifteen minutes. That was two years ago |

I KNOW I have seen the clips for sale individually. Unfortunately I cannot recall where I saw them...it was online though. |

The clips you've seen for sale are the stationary clips at the front. You cannot buy the clip individually for the sunshade side of things. Like mentioned above, you can be creative. I however, purchased a set of used screens with the clips intact off of eBAY for about $30. Dealer said you had to drop headliner, etc. Many hours of labor. I replaced them in about 15 minutes, and half of that time I was trying to create a makeshift tool to release those screens. Later.. RS |

Clips can be purchased at www.roverconnection.com for about $8, if memory serves me correctly. |

I'm with Dan...I cut a piece of tin I had to approx 3/4 x 1 1/2 and bent it. It fit into the depressed area where clip broke and I fastened it with 2 alum rivets after drilling the holes. After hitting it with black paint you can't even tell. |

I search the archives and this has been discussed. It sure seems like the clips that attach to the shade are not available. At this point I cannot find the missing piece so fabbing something is likely. Please let me know if the clips for the shade really are available and a direct link would help, since I have not found them. The only thing on roverconnection is the clip on the roof that holds the shade closed, not the one on the shade itself. For example, this is not the one I need: http://www.roverconnection.com/Disco%20Parts/rcdsclp1.htm
