OK, I've been suffering with my ABS light lit for better than a year now. Finally got the SRS light extinguished. Referred to the Spanish Trails site (Thank you Perrone), jumpered the two wires and nothing happened. Anybody have the procedure for a '95 Disco? I have the blue connector under the dash exposed so I can go to it fairly quickly. I really dont want to have to buy the electronic troubleshooting manual if I don't have to. Peace, Paul |

Paul, How did you get your SRS light to go out? I was told that that required dealer intervention. |

Hey, I just did this on my D1 last weekend, and now the ABS light is out and the ABS doesn't kick in like EVERY time I drive under 5 mph. The ABS sensors have most likely moved to the point that they are too far to "sense" the wheel spin correctly, so just pull each of them out and push them back down, it's not that bad, although you do have to take off the front tires. Warning....when you start the truck back up again, the light will still be on...so don't get too mad, drive it a bit and it should go out. From then on it'll come on every time you start the truck until you drive 10 feet or so. Brad |

Thanx Brad, but that will only work if the reason for the light is excessive sensor gap. My light came on as a result of low cranking voltage (bad alternators) and now, I can't get the damned light to go out for love nor money. The guy with the Autologic didn't have time as mine was the last one scanned. I really need someone with the Electronic Troubleshooting Manual. Peace, Paul |
