How does one remove the bolts the hold the rear mud flaps on. I need to replace mine but it looks like htye are held on by some kind of rivet. |

yep. you gotta cut 'em off with a Dremel or hack saw. replace with SS bolts if you are putting them back on. |

Just let my girlfriend drive your Disco off-road for about two minutes and all your mud flaps will be gone forever. |

Yes cut them off. Just use stainless steel nuts & bolts in place of those stupid rivets when you put them back on. |

I second the driving off road to remove them. They come off quite cleanly and you never have to mess with them again! |

If you don't have an electric saw or something similar you can also take your rover to a bodyshop, they are usually equiped with tool to cut off those stupid rivets. I took mine to a shop and the guy did it for free!!! Also you can replace the genuine mudflaps with some at any local car parts store, all you have to do is cut the top end to match the size of the old ones, since your cutting the top edge and that edge is hidden in the car nobody will notice the difference. I found some nice thick ones for $10 bucks. |

Also if you do take it to a body shop have the guys remove the rivets in the front, those mud flaps also come loose with time and they have the same stupid rivets. |
