Going for new tires for stock height D1,wondering if this size is ok for stock rims also will they have any negative effect on ride, handling or driveline components(no rotolex) and finally clearence.I think it would look better the 235/70/16 tires look too skinny. If I am not mistaken they are a little less than an inch wider. Thanks everyone.. |

I was planning on doing the same thing on my 95 disco but someone told me that since the rim is only 8" in width the tires might crown or something like that, basically there is not enough rim for that size of tire? I ended up getting some Goodyear's that even though they are the same size as the stock Michellin's they Goodyears are just a big wider so they look better. Talk to a tire speciallist and see what they say you might be able to fit 255 or 245 if they make it for the 16" rims? Let me know what you find out, I would like to have wider tires, I think they look better since the truck is tall. |
