We are getting a little creative and want to build our own winch mount bumpers. Wondering if anyone out there has built one? Any tips? (Yes we have a sand blaster, arc and mig welders and necessary tools.) Also looking for detailed pictures of the backsides of bumpers. Specifically looking for pictures of how bumper mounts to frame. (but any bumper pics would be appreciated)or cardboard cut outs/patterns. We've just completed a cardboard cut out of our bumper and I will try and post pic..(slightly similar to SG)with no bars.

I'll vouche for my bumper (typpical I guess). Its a no-nonesense design, and was extensively tested to the extreme limits. I'll gladely provide you with some drawings, and maybe some dimensions if they are still on the top of my mind. Check out my thread "New Bumper" posted ~15.07.2003 here...then tell me if you're interested |

Phil, I'd offer to help but I built my front bumper as I went, so I don't have any drawings, etc. Once you start, you'll see that it's not as hard as you would have imagined. |
