While I was doing my weekly performance checks under the hood, I noticed a vacuum hose protruding from the rear of the chamber. I started the engine and the hose had inward vacuum pull. Should that hose be hooked to something or is it the vacuum purge hose for the chamber? Also, there is a metal line running from under the body up through the back of the engine. It has the hook shape at the top like a battrey hold down rod. It also has an opening. Is that normal? Thanks a million. |

If that rubber hose is small and short, then it probably should be attached to the fuel pressure regulator. What do you mean by "metal line"?? Tube, rod, wire?? Randall |

Your right. That tube is some type of nylon and is the breather tube. I will check the fuel pressure regulator and see if the other hose attaches. Thanks a million guys. |
