While I was doing my weekly performance checks under the hood, I noticed a vacuum hose protruding from the rear of the chamber. I started the engine and the hose had inward vacuum pull. Should that hose be hooked to something or is it the vacuum purge hose for the chamber? Also, there is a metal line running from under the body up through the back of the engine. It has the hook shape at the top like a battrey hold down rod. It also has an opening. Is that normal? Thanks a million.

If that rubber hose is small and short, then it probably should be attached to the fuel pressure regulator.

What do you mean by "metal line"?? Tube, rod, wire??

Your right. That tube is some type of nylon and is the breather tube. I will check the fuel pressure regulator and see if the other hose attaches. Thanks a million guys.
