Im a new discovery owner in Malaysia. Ive been interested in the discovery for a long time (since my Uni days in London) and only now do i get the chance, and finances to own one. I bought a used 2.5TDi ES 1995. Ive spent quite a bit on the engine and im now able to drive it without any major worries that it will give way during my daily travels (I travel an average of more than 100km or >60miles a day).
Im writing in cause a few days ago, for the first time i saw a Discovery 1 V8i on the Malaysian road which i have never seen before. It had a body kit or should i say side skirts flair fitted on the body pannel. I managed to get a few digital photos of it and if anyone needs to have a look (attached). The body kit had the land rover badge on both the side pannel in front of the front doors. The discovery also had a small spoiler on top of the rear door.
Can anyone tell me if i can get the body kit fitted from the authorised land rover dealer (part no, etc) or where can i locate the parts cause it made the discovery 1 look very impressive which by the way, it is already impressive even without.

if you want to see a bigger photo :

Best bet is to either ask the dealer directly or go to a body shop and ask them. Folks here are more likely to take stuff like that off than put it on.

Sorry couldn't help more but I think your question is aimed at the wrong crowd here.

STC7662 Body Styling Kit
Famous Four has it for 550 brit pounds
www.famousfour.co.uk/specials.html
www.rimmerbros.co.uk
has a kit for $880 - so I wonder if it has everything.
Word of Caution this is the kind of thing that once its gone spares are not made for so get the spare bits now`

Huh. From what I am used to seeing on D1 it looks like a completely new front and rear bumpers, wheel flares possible lower panel cladding as well, but cannot tell not to mention paint to match.

Never seen it before.

Thanks guys. Really made me feel welcomed. But the specifications says it fits Series 1 Discovery, 1996 model year onwards. Mine is a 1994 model 2.5 TDi. Will it fit?
And why is the large difference in price? Sorry cause thats about a months senior executives wages here in Malaysia. But i sure am keen on it.

Cheers

Could that be just the regular side-bumper kit and Atlantic British sells? But just painted to match the car? It looks like the rear bumpers and are painted to match the car.

I was thinking of painting my bumper to match my car, but after looking at that Disco, doesn't look too good I think.

Actually it is a body kit that was designed by Aston Martin back in `96. I too was looking for it and it is extremly hard to find. I've called local dealers and they had no clue about it. One may try the UK if you have connections. At one time I had the part #'s. They are pretty cool.

nhakhorn,
try www.simmonites.co.uk i know they had the rear roof spoilers advertised not sure about the rest it looks very much like the factory kit fitted to the 200 series 5 doors and it has just been painted to match as these were usually only in black plastic but dont quote me on it.

Hi
Body kit is part No STC7662 and includes front apron, all side panels and a rear bumper.
The roof spoiler is extra and is part No STC7756AA and costs about £120.
Not sure how easy 235/85`s fit and how you would go about a small trim!
