Has anyone replaced the driver side electric window lifting thingy? I managed to get it out, however it was mangled, not sure if I should tackle putting a new one my self. Any advice? |

Of course you can. It is really simple. If you got the old one out the new one should go in no problem. I have had to replace or fix the mechanism on all 4 doors of my 95 disco. Good luck. |

I changed mine as well, and it wansn't that hard. Oh, its called a regulator...don't know why, window lifting thingy makes more sense.. Anyway, its easier to put the new one in if you lift the glass all the way up and hold it with some tape. Once the regulator is in, you need to attach it to the window, so lower it a bit so you can see what you're doing, and you can then fit the keyhole shaped slots on the top of the regulatoir into the bolts on the rail on the bottom of the glass. Tighten the bolts, and then start attaching the rest of the regulator. And don't forgrt to tie the motor wires out of the way of the glass.
