Crash (Crash)

I just finished the trans oil change. One thing I noticed, was that the workshop manual has you add oil until it spills out the fill hole, then start the car and shift it through its gears and with it idling, fill it up again until it spills out. Then shut off the car, and put back in the plug(after the engine is off!). I put back in the plug THEN shut off the car. Isn't that the right way? If you shut the car off first, then the fluid will spill out the fill hole before you have a chance to plug it--seems like it might be in error. Then again--maybe it is me! (Note--at least of the 2000 DII, there is not Transmission dip stick) |
