I swapped out my fuel filter today and thought I would pass this along. I'm not sure if it has ever been changed on my rig before but the filter I took off is a GM part. AC Delco GF-651. The replacement I got was a Purolator F33144 from Advance Auto Parts. The guy at the counter commented that it was strange that the Land Rover takes a chevy filter. Actually thats the second time I found a situation like this, the first one was when I changed the serp belt and it was the same one that goes on mopar 5.2, 5.6 and 3.9 engines. From my understanding, I thought you couldn't just change the filter. I thought you had the change the pump in order to change the fuel filter. I have a 03 Disco, so maybe this is something they might have changed for these later year Disco's? |

June, You are correct that it is a DII issue that you change the pump; on the DI, there is a normal fuel filter that needs to be changed regularly. FWIW..... -L
