When I turn off my Heat or AC the vents remain open. IE.....Driving down the road and it is 60 degrees outside and the climate control is on 72 degrees. When I turn off the climate control, the vents remain open and 72 degree air is coming through the vents. In order to test this, I have set the climate control to recirculate and then turn it off again and it still blows. It does the same thing if the Air Conditioner is on. Any suggestions???

Try flooring the gas pedal. Everytime I gun the engine and accelerate hard, the AC shuts off. It eventually comes back on. Leave it the way it is, and when it gets too cold, just hit the gas to shut it off.

Uh...oh; yeah, my '95 does that too. I haven't tried to see if the air-flow stops under recirculation, but under the other conditions like you mentioned, air does continue to flow into the car at the temp the HVAC is set to.

Air will flow into the car becuase of ingress, air just naturally circulating through your vents as you drive down the road. The manual has a brief section on this.
