Here is a question: is the bell-housing bolt pattern on the 3.9 the same as it was when it was a Buick 215? In other words, could a GM tranny that fit the 215 bolt to a Rover 3.9? If so, that would certainly increase the options of trannys TH350/400) and Tcases for replacement/modification use. I know that there may be other issues like body/frame clearance, etc. but I was curious about that bolt pattern.

it is the same pattern but the 215 never had those trannies behind it. the 215 used a differnt bolt pattern. you can get adaptors to get it to work.

marks adapters in Aussie allow you to connect to those Gm trannies.
You can also go to a stick shift nv4500
