Just installed RTE 2inch lift. My rear shaft now vibrates like crazy starting at 20mph. I have the rear links which I thought would prevent the vibes. Can I correct this by adding any more bushings or taking some away? I leave for 10 days in Moab tomorrow. IF anyone can offer help, I would be greatful.

Add the thick spacers in there to get the pinion to come down some and realize that it might not be the rear at all.... Hopefully adding those spacers will clear it up some.

I already have the thick spacer on. In order to get the axel to rotate so that the pinion aligns correctly would I need to use the spacer/bushing to shorten or lenghten the rear link?

Thanks

I take it you have a standard rear drive shaft with no Roto flex,,,,, so ,,,,you want to get that pinion down to around 3-4 degrees... If its a roto then take that spacer out and get it back up some.

Kyle,
I do have the rotoflex and I took out one spacer and the vibes are 95% gone. I think that the other 5% comes from the stiffer springs. I removed shocks and springs that were the original from factory and the car has 164,000 miles! It'll just take awhile to get used to I guess. Will I need to get rid of the rotoflex soon?
Thank you.

James:
If your rotoflex has 164,000 miles, it will let you know when you need to replace it... Probably sooner rather than later.

If you replace it now (they aren't that expensive, nor difficult to replace), you might find that your remaining vibrations go away.

Been there, done this. Still working on replacing rotoflex with real u-joints-someday... Although my vibes were much more light.

I also have the RTE springs-love them!

Peace,
Paul
