I am a new owner of a 99 Disco II and new to the post. I ordered a front brush guard and was wondering how to get the front bumber off to expose the frame. It looks like there is a single torx nut under the license plate and some screws on the bottom. Is that the extent of it or does it get more complicated? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Edmond, I removed my front brush gaurd & bumper two weeks ago. If you just want to add the brush bar it mounts in four places. There are two brackets that mount to the silver looking aluminum crush cans that mount to the frame, you will need to remove the four bolts & slide the two brackets over them, then rebolt & torque everything back down. There should be two plastic peices one that is removable on the face of your air dam, that is were the brush bar brackets come through & bolt to the brackets you installed to the frame. There are two angle brackets that go around the fender & mount to the frame that secure the sides of the brush bar. Good luck, Brian |
