I was wondering what the difference (if any) is between a safety recall and a general recall? Is the Dealer$hip responsible to pay for both or just the safety recall? I do apologize for my ignorance in advance, but any help would be appreciated. THANKS

Curtis

Curtis:
Safety recalls always get fixed by dealer for free. You can go to the dealer and their computer can tell whether your vehicle has any outstanding safety recalls that have not yet been repaired. Then it depends on what you mean by "general recall". There are a number of various common problems, the repairs for which are described in Technical Service Bulletins. If you present at the dealer with the complaints of one of these problems, they will repair for free under warranty, but after the warranty, you must pay for it yourself.
