Hi All,

My 96 Disco's drivers seat is rocking about an 1/8" back and forth. Anyone one know what the fix is before I tear it apart.
Thanks in advance.

Tear it apart! You'll have your seat and sliding mechanism off in 15 minutes!
There's three sets of screws that might have worked loose; all are Torx (T40?):
* Seatbase to floor
* Sliding mechanism to seatbase
* Seat to sliding mechanism

If seatbase to floor is the problem, make sure to clean the screws from underneath from anticorrosice painting etc. before trying to free them up.

(Renewed seatbase only a month ago...take a look at Ottos pages under heading Bodywork: home.halden.net/discovery )

I had a similar problem with my electric seats in my D1. The problem was a loose seat-adjustment cable. Unfortunately, I could not figure out how to tighten up the cable, so I took it to the dealer for the adjustment (under warranty of course). I'm sure it's simple to adjust. Maybe someone out there knows....

Thanks,
Mike B.
