How can i squeeze out some more power in my 2 rear subs? Can i buy another LR amp and install it next to the old one? Or perhaps buy aftermarket subs? Could a new CD player DECK be installed to add power????

The Disco's system is not bad for what it is, but if you're looking for more power (BOOM!) your best bet would be to install an aftermarket sub, box, and amp. The rear door needs bracing and damping material to support more than the factory subs (and even they will rattle the bolts loose!). You can buy a stand-alone sub/amp combo, or do what alot of guys (myself included) have done and build a sub box to fit the back of the Disco. You'd be surprised at what one good 10" sub and an amp can do.

Budget permitting, the most effective setup is to get a good 5 channel amp with built in crossovers, a good head unit, speakers to replace the factory units in the doors and the rear, and the subwoofer(s) of your choice. You can leave the factory door/rear speakers in place and step up to better ones as budget permits, but I'd strongly recommend using something different than the rear door subwoofer setup.

Safar,

I have a Phoenix Gold 4 channel AMp under the passenger seat, 2 10" Phoenix Gold subs in a sealed box in the gargo area, 2 6x9" Altec Lancing Rear + 2 SPL 102mm with separate tweeters in Front. I think that my truck has very clear sound with much bass, but not the bass that is insufferable.

The mids and highs are great in the rovers. I put two Sound Storm 10's with a Lanzar amp. I like the factory head unit so i cut the wires from the rear factory subs and wired in a little box from Radio Shack that allowed me to run RCA's to my amp. Then i put factory replacement Pioneers where the factory speakers were. I have maybe 300 in the entire system. It sound amazing. And it was so east to do.

I'm using the stock head-unit wired to two amps under the passenger seat: a 4x60 watt amp and a 2x50 watt amp. Two pairs of Clarion 4" 2-way speakers in the stock locations and a pair of Polk 6.5" 2-way speakers in the sub-location. The 2-channel amp drives the front speakers through the stock wire loom, 2 of the channels on the 4-channel amp drive the rear 2 4" speakers using the stock loom, and the other 2 channels drive the 6.5's in the sub-loacation through new wiring (eliminating the rear mounted amp). You can get 6.5 or 6.75" woofers (usually have to purchase a driver+tweeter component kit) if you just want to replace the stock sub-woofer assembly. While I like the sound of my system, things begin to rattle in the back...so installing a seperate sub and sub-enclosure would provide the best sound.
But by all means, if you're not going to replace the head unit, replace the factory amps and speakers!

Rockford Fosgate has a new 6.5" HE subwoofer. It has 300 watt max with a 150 RMS. I'm waiting for them to come in the mail. I'll be powering them with a 500 watt amp. I hope they work so that I don't need a big box to produce bass.
