I run 255/70 on the rear of my '00 D2. Works great. I have the 12" travel short bosy 7100's.

I just installed the 10" travel 5150's with 255/70 valving - not enough time yet to evaluate them though.

Definitely softer than the OEM replacment Bilsteins, but not too bad on-road - very little additional body roll.

Anybody installed the 14" 5150's yet? I am running RTE 3" springs and Rancho 9000's right now, but I'm chunking the piece-of-shit Rancho's and going with Bilstien...finally. I can't decide if the 14" will be too big. Feedback?

Hey, Zach...

This is unrelated to the Bilsteins, but I opened up your profile to check out your rig and noticed that you are a firefighter for the Forest Service too. Where are you stationed? I've worked here on the Sawtooth National Forest in Idaho for the last two seasons as a seasonal firefighter and the Park Service before that. Funny... I knew someday I'd run into another rover fanatic who fights fires. Hope you had a good season before you headed back to school...

Take it easy,

zach, bill
i was acutally looking at the 14" but i'm not quite sure the valving will be firm enough, especially at that lenght.
tried the rancho 9000, N76 OME, bilstein replacements and thought these were interesting. i'm just tired of shocks that are to soft. i'll probably end up with the bilstein 7000s

Ethan,
I'm on the Cherokee National Forest in eastern Tennessee. We were actually just out in Idaho on the Slims Fire (ID-NPF-014, I believe)...Cherokee Hotshots. I'm glad to finally run into another Firefighter/Rover fanatic, too. Marc, I was just looking at the 7100's...it's like a kid in a candy store. Choices, choices...

Zach
