I like the 03 w/ACE, SLS. My stock w/ protection mods seems to do as well or slightly better than the 01 or 02 models w/ 16" wheels. Of course, this ocurred on some trails rated up to BLM "black diamond". My peers think the 03's ACE, ETC, & especially the 4.6 engine give me a better driveability than their vehicles. My newbie experience from 2/03 to present is: 1)Snow run in the Sierras near the Rubicon. 2)Mendocino "run" (also in snow) 3)Black Rock canyon & desert (western Nevada) 4)Gold Mtn (Big Bear,CA) 5)Niagara Rim in the High Sierras 6)Cow Mtn OHV park The warranty is very important to me, so far the transfer case and ACE ECU have been replace at N/C and the LR service dept. knew the vehicle was off-roading! The replacement was done after Black Rock at 7400mi. Bottom line is Axel's last sentence. | ||

what type of eng is on 02? 03 = 4.6 02 = 4.0? 01 = 4.0 00 = 4.0 and what is a IIa? is that a disco 99! |
