Its not sticking out, but just set of vinyl letters that matches OEM ones. mine were ripped off by previous owner(s), so i just cleaned hood as much as i can and sticked letters on place of old ones. Looks ok, now question is how long it would hold. If you interested - autotrimdesigns.com is place where i got mine. I believe they might be a little more dent and rock resistant than the old thin ones.
