I have four OME shock absorbers installed on my 98 Disco. (Cannot recall the model) Yesterday during a normal cruise drive, I heard an air "P--sssssssss) sound. I immediately reckoned that one of the shocks could be gone. After investigation, it is the driver side rear shock.

Q. What is the best way to replace this shock? Can I simply just change one shock or should I change both rear shocks? or. advise will be appreciated. Thanks.

I guess it would depend on how many miles you have used these and how old they are.... From what I understand the OME's have a 2 year warrenty. So I would say around a 30 to 40k life span (normal driving would be 15 to 20k a year). So it would depend alot on how long you have had them and how much off road use they have had.....

If alot of either I would change both.
