Get Rovertym sliders. http://www.rovertym.com/
More expensive, but they seem to be the best. I am going to get a pair soon.

Other options...
Atlantic British
Safari Gard
Trek Outfitters
AEDOFAB
Dreadnought

RTE sliders the best?

Only if you want your truck to look like it's wearing a maxi pad with wings.

On second thought, This is probably a good analogy. The wings do give you extra protection.

Wings for extra protection

you just happened to have a maxi pad graphic ready? hmmm

You can get the RTE sliders without the nerf bars and then they are wingless.

Jamil, how the heck 700$ is less expensive than 650$ (that is with nerf bars)?

Actually there is another option, shrockworks.com , that is if Jim ever will get around to finish rover stuff

If you want the best, you will find a way to get the best.

A vacation out to California is not all that bad a deal.

I have a friend who just flew out to Boston from SoCal to buy his dream Rover.

Where there is a will, there is a way.

And... for you guys questioning my familiarity with the product in the picture I posted... If you are not familiar with that thing, then either you are flaming gay or you need to get out more often.

Sergei,
Not sure where you got your prices...

Disco II RTE sliders are $550 and $625 with the nerf bars.

And Robert, I like the wings too.

The Dradnoughts or the Red Rock's are the way to go. They are both very similar in design and will offer better protection and fit than anything out there. I live in Utah so the Red Rock's were a natural choice. Before I found out about them I was actually considering a trip to SoCal to pick some Dreadnoughts up. Red Rock will ship, but I don't think they have a site you can go to for info and pics like EE does. For contact info try to catch Marc Olivares on this board. Otherwise, it is a round trip to CA!

Curtis, I'd like to see these Red Rock sliders. Could you take some pics for us?

Oh yeah, and here you go posting late at night again. As you once said, "I think you need to get some sleep."

I have no real idea what is the best, worst, or whatever. I own a set of RTE sliders with the above mentioned maxi-pad wings:-) In the 1.5 years I have had them on the Pig they have performed as advertised; taking hits and protecting the Pig's sills and doors. So I am Happy.

As far as the 'wings' go; they are great in helping people get in and out of the Pig. Old people in particular are very greatful for my 'wings'

A big part of my choice of purchasing RTE was how close they are to me (4 hours away).

I have RTEs with nerf bars. The design has a flaw, but it can be corrected, resulting in a an attachment method like the EE's sliders. I have made this correction and it saved my ass big time on Lower Helldorado a few weeks age. I was going through one of the V shaped obstacles and my left front tire slipped off into the V. WHAM on to my left side. Visions of massive damage danced in my head. When I finally cleared the obstacle (sp?), I found no damage of any kind. Had the nerf bars not been there, I would have crunched the lower portions of BOTH driver side doors.
