The order is cats one on each side going into one, then you got your muffler about 2/3rd of the way of the vehicle and at the tail end you got the resonator. The front two are your cats so the middle unit would be your muffler. The muffler is quite large unit over 24 inches long. If it's rattling, then you need to replace it. I would suggest this might be a excellent excuse to put on a free flowing exhaust.
