I haven't used the CDL in 3-4 days, and on my way home yesterday, the diff lock warning light started glowing lightly (not like it does when you engage it) I turned off the ignition, turned it back on and the light stayed on.. very lightly glowing. Came home, parked all night, light wasn't on this morning whatsoever. Drove about 40-50 miles and the light began slightly glowing again. Fluid was added last Friday... does this light illuminate when you're low on fluid? Like your engine oil or brake fluid? If so, I guess I need to crawl under there tonight. I've just been kinda busy with other things breaking on the Rover the past few days/weeks/months/etc. |

I have had that happen too, but haven't been able to figure out the cause yet. I thought of low fluid levels too, but that wasn't it. My best guess is some kind of short that develops when the case reaches a certain temperature. It hasn't happened in a while, though. Whoever figures it out first will post the result here, ok? - Axel

are you guys both sure that you're not locked up when this happens, i.e. it's just a light issue & not a mechanical one? |

Well Blue, I don't recall engaging the diff lock when cruising around 75 mph . Just for kicks tonight I locked it, unlocked it, and backed up down the street. Light was off, but it was off this morning too. It has to be temp related.. who the heck knows? |

Have had it come on in similar fashion. Turned out to be some moisture from driving through water and mud A spray with dewatering fluid around switch contacts on box fixed it |
