What would happen if I put a 10 watt interior dome light bulb where a 5 watt bulb was? I found white dome light bulb that produces a nice white glow rather than the orange color that all cars have. Is that safe? will it melt? |

It will melt your plastic transparent dome light cap. |

Thanks. Even if it the light is not used alot will it still melt? The only time the light comes on is when I unlock and lock my doors. |

If you are sure that you dont switch this light on, with possibility of forget it, may be is no problem. |

Hey Rollins, i have candles where my dome lights used to be that burn off of whale oil. I know it sounds dangerous, but it looks really cool and keeps you warm in the winter. |
