My mechanic advised me that I need my front pads replaced and my rear rotors and pads replaced. My question is other then pads, rotors, brake fluid and tools, what else do I need?

Wes, if you do the pads only, you don't need nearly anything save for new pads, jack, lug wrench, and pliers, maybe a large screwdriver or pry bar or c-clamp to spread the pistons.
If you do rotors, it is more involved. Sometimes, you may need an impact wrench to undo the 12-point bolts that hold the rotor to the hub. You'll need bearing grease, spare seals if your old ones are bad or you destroy them by scraping against the threads. You'll need a 2 1/16" socket for the hub nuts, or BMF channel locks. You may need a new locking washer for the hub nut. A couple of cans of brake cleaner and some high-temperature RTV sealant. If you're extra thorough, replace the bearings while you're at it.

Check the rover sites for this job's description, and then decide if you want to do it yourself.
