I see from the attached pix of JBS's truck that he has moved the track rod up front and saw it elswhere on the Dweb on someone else's truck - maybe Marty's What are the upsides/downsides and mods required? What becomes of the panhard?
Thanks, Bill |

Thanks, What does having them swing in the same arc accomplish? Is it handling related, or does it have some other perceived benefit? Bill |

Well , they should all swing on the same arch. Perhaps what is throwing you is that it apears he used a euro knuckle to get his rear stearing link to the front. Now you are gonna ask why..... LOL . Well , it looks very much like something that he once told me was a "Pipe dream" if I recall correctly... Kyle |

I looked at John's truck this past weekend at the Safari. The panhard rod has not been modified as far as I could tell. He did use a euro steering knuckle to move the tract rod up front as Kyle mentioned. "Pipe dreams" can come true, Kyle. Diesel |

I think (don't know I am just speculating) that having it in front would make a 3 or 4 link easier to fit to the back of the axle. Otherwise, whats the point Kyle? The tie rod/track rod has nothing to do with anything steering/lift related. Its the panhard and drag link that have to be close to the same. Spy pics anyone? Ron |
