I see from the attached pix of JBS's truck that he has moved the track rod up front and saw it elswhere on the Dweb on someone else's truck - maybe Marty's

What are the upsides/downsides and mods required? What becomes of the panhard?

suspension

Thanks, Bill

Thanks,

What does having them swing in the same arc accomplish? Is it handling related, or does it have some other perceived benefit?

Well , they should all swing on the same arch. Perhaps what is throwing you is that it apears he used a euro knuckle to get his rear stearing link to the front. Now you are gonna ask why..... LOL . Well , it looks very much like something that he once told me was a "Pipe dream" if I recall correctly... :)

I looked at John's truck this past weekend at the Safari. The panhard rod has not been modified as far as I could tell. He did use a euro steering knuckle to move the tract rod up front as Kyle mentioned. "Pipe dreams" can come true, Kyle. :)

Well it wasnt a dream at all. But at the time thats what he had to say about it... Al was there when JJ told me that it wasnt the way to go....lol There aint but one reason for moving that link to the front..... :)

I think (don't know I am just speculating) that having it in front would make a 3 or 4 link easier to fit to the back of the axle. Otherwise, whats the point Kyle?

The tie rod/track rod has nothing to do with anything steering/lift related. Its the panhard and drag link that have to be close to the same.

Spy pics anyone?
