i took my 1995 discovery to the dealer about a week two weeks ago to have the fuel pump replaced. It appered to have a leakdown problem. i told them to check and replace the fuel pump. they checked and said that nothing was wrong with the fuel pump they have been working on it for two weeks and said that most of the work will be for free. but they have changed the spark plugs and checked about every system on the vehicle. and they just called me on friday saying that the fuel pump needs to be replaced. i told him that that was the problem in the first place. i very mad they said that they would make it right but im still pissed that the problem that i told them it had in the first place took them two weeks to figure out. and two weeks worth of labor including a compression test and sparkplug change and now the fuel pump. i authorized these to be done i know i dont have to pay for anything else according to our laws in my state. well i should get the bill monday and ill post what the outcome is well see

I'd offer to pay for shop labor time to replace a fuel pump. If they try to charge for anything else, call your attorney and hand the service manager the phone...

What a sham. What dealer was it so we know to avoid them. Maybe we can get a dealer list here on the Dweb of good dealers and dealers to avoid.
