Looking at replacing shocks. BILSTEIN seems to be the most recommended. I want these for a nice firm, comfortable highway ride (I drive 75 mile round trip every day). I have seen the BILSTEINS go for about $300 for a kit and the BOGE sell for about $200 per kit. For my needs, is there a reason I should choose BILSTEIN over BOGE? |

Yes, because they are the best. Buy them, you won't be disappointed. Even though I knew what to expect, I am still very impressed by mine. -P |

Do they outlast Boge? Anyone compared the two? I know my BMW uses Boge and they seem to ride nicely. Also, is there a certain model of Bilstiens for road and another for off road? Also, should I expect a rougher ride than stock using the Bilsetins? |

My BMW used Boge too. And I fit bilsteins and loved them. The change to Bilsteins on my truck gave similar results. It's not harsh, just firm. Similar to any newer BMW or Porsche. It cut down my sway in corners by at least 75% but feels great over potholes and such. The OEM style bilsteins are excellent on road and not bad offroad. I don't miss my OMEs (not OEM)at all, but they are a bit short for flexing. If you are primarly a highway driver you can't go wrong with the Bilsteins. -P |
