Just a couple of questions: 1) Any problems with rim damage off-road? 2) Will they fit on the D2 wheel carrier, without inverting? 3) If I keep the stock Wrangler HP 255/65 as the spare, any risk of driveline damage? Would only use until I could get the MTR repaired. 4) Do they cup as easily as the HP's? |

I ran 245 75s off road. Why would you think this tire is prone to rim damage cause of its size? Should fit the wheel carrier -- mine did. Mine were Michelins Do not keep the stock as spare. Dont know about driveline damage, but you risk damaging the center diff. I would not suggest getting a used 245/75 from a different brand as a spare -- get them all the same at the same time. Same size, but may not be same ammount of material -- again, you are risking damage to the center diff. mv |

The actual size of tires varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. For example, the old BFG 245/75R16s will fit on the spare carrier, but the new KM version will not because of an increased treaddepth. I currently run 255/70R16 BFG AT KOs and they just barely fit on the spare carrier. The MT KMs in this same size are a little bigger and will not fit. If you really want bigger tires just flip the carrier and get 265/75R16s!! |

If you decide to flip the carrier, it is a bit more involved than "just do it" Here's a link that explains and shows the process: http://www.expeditionexchange.com/disco2tires/ |
