I recently purchased a 1996 Discovery and the prior owner had installed a wood dash kit, several of the pieces appear to be fading and discolored. Has anyone had success removing the dash kit without making things look worse? |

My dash kit had 3M glue on it and it said that it would be easy to remove and not cause damage. The big question is if your has 3M or not. Has anyone ever seen a dash kit that did not use 3M? |

You may want to use a heat gun or a blow dryer may soften the adhiesive enough. If you use a heat gun watch out you could start melting your dash pending on the temp of the dryer. Try a small section that no one would see that way if it does not work than it won't look like shit. If it is glue well I have stuff that will remove it but say good bye to your dash. Good Luck |
